PREFACE : Ninety Nine percent people of the world live
in peace. The one percent create all the imbalances. The
solution lies in Oriental wisdom - be it the age old Ayurveda
- the Science of Life, or Naturopathy, or Yoga, or Homoeopathy,
or the Vedantic Philosophy that the World is One Family (Vasudhaiv
Kutumbakam), we have got everything. Modern medicine
- a pseudo science is an invasion, like the Coca Cola/Pepsi
Cola, Uncle Chips or Kentucky Fried Chicken, which are alien to
our mores, customs & norms.
INTRODUCTION : The present health system is top-heavy, over-centralised,
heavily curative in its approach, urban and elite-oriented, costly
and dependency creating. Unless it is community-based, people-oriented,
economic, decentralised, democratic and participatory, we are
afraid it will not be Health for All... Peace for All... the aspirations
that we all hold, but Destruction, Diseases and Death for All.
As our late leader Mrs. Indira Gandhi had said some two decades
ago : "At present 97% of the world's research is not relevant
to us because it is earmarked for the priorities and to the induced
appetites of technological leaders".
TRADITIONAL MEDICINE was incorporated in the World Health Organization's
programmes in 1976. In 1978, an International Conference
on Primary Health Care was held in Alma-Ata, which decided to
deliver "Health for All by 2000". That lofty goal or
mandate, alas, was turned into an empty slogan and now with the
ganging up of the pharma-mafia, it looks like Death for All, barring
for the "Superior Few" who plan to colonise the
Moon or Mars, through projects like the Star War. The 'inferior
black race' has to go and hence the sinister master plan of
AIDS and the high decibel noise to systematically annihilate them
and plunder the world.
As I have said time and again, and I would like to repeat it for
the benefit of this august audience - the economies
of America or Western Union will be in doldrums the day the Arms,
the Drugs and Synthetic Food industries are shut down. To that,
one may add Petroleum products, because of the greed or the conspicuous
consumption wherein one American consumes the equivalent of 50
Indians.
In 1980, I had created a campaign which said : "The money
required to provide adequate food, water, education, health and
housing for everyone in the world has been estimated at $17billions
a year. It is a huge sum of money...about as much as the world
spends on arms every two weeks". Twenty two years later,
the arms budgets have sky-rocketed with poverty, diseases, inequality.
And if the AIDS SCARE and the STAR WAR projects are allowed to
destroy the world development, at the altar of greed, our future
generation will not forgive us. Hence, today let us
resolve to work for HEALTH AND PEACE FOR ALL.
We who have assembled here know that the Right to Health is Right
to Life, for what good is the life without sound physical,
mental and spiritual health? But we need to unite and educate
people that :-
(a) Drugs do not heal, they kill. There is only one
known cause of AIDS and that is chemical drugs which weaken and
destroy the immunity, like AZT a chemotherapeutic agent, a carcinogen,
which was withdrawn due to adverse effects and which is now freely
prescribed to AIDS patients, when it causes AIDS. Presently
there is a case pending in the UK Supreme Court in this connection.
(b) There like we have in India 6 recognised systems of medicines,
and yet all the money goes only to Allopathy. It is an uphill
task to educate the masses, especially in the face of lies being
repeated by the pharma lobby through media manipulation, but towards which
yours truly has been working for a quarter century.
I have been telling our people that you fight for religious
freedom, cultural freedom, language freedom, sex freedom and so
on. But where is the health freedom? Someone else
decides how much iodised salt you must take; how much chlorine
to be added to your drinking water; which drugs, multi-vitamins
and calcium you must compulsorily prescribe to pregnant women;
which vaccinations should be compulsorily injected into your tiny
tot's delicate bodies to protect their health; which biscuits
are good for your dogs and the senior citizens; and how much Viagra
a man should take to enjoy his sexual life and woman should inject
her breasts with which chemical to keep breasts firm even at 90!
(c) 20% people in urban centres use 80% funds allocated for health
and family welfare and around this edifice are built the mediclaim
and other rackets.
(d) 80% people in the world depend on holistic healing modalities
and for that they are much better. In China, it is Acupuncture,
in France it is magnetic healing. For Germans, heilpraxis,
for the British, herbalism. In India, it is age old Ayurveda,
in the Muslim countries it is Unani, in Japan it is shiatsu, in
Tibet the Lama medicine and so on. There are something like
150 various therapies, which could be used as alternatives to
the deleterious allopathic system of medicine. Though the World
Health Assembly, an apex body has decided vide various resolutions
that the Alternative Medicine should be developed, and though
the WHO has a separate department to promote traditional and natural
systems of medicine, very little is done in that direction since
WHO has largely been hijacked by the pharmaceutical mafia.
Salient features of Alternative Medicine
As against that Allopathy, or Modern Medicine, is a pseudo-science
which has dismally failed. Ever since AIDS was 'rediscovered'
in 1981, it has threatened the very fabric of society. It was
'rediscovered' by the proponents of Modern Medicine to camouflage
its dismal performance in the cause, the course and the cure of
major maladies. AIDS (Ojas-kshaya according to Ayurveda,
Al-Zabool, according to Unani) has been in existence ever
since man invented fire and started cooking food. Ayurvedic practitioners
have managed it by balancing Tridoshas - Vata (gas),
Pitta (bile) and Kapha (phlegm) and regulating Para
Oja, which is the basis of immunological strength.
Left to the practitioners of Alternative Medicine, HIV/AIDS patients
or for that matter any debilitating disease can be treated successfully,
at fractional cost of the costly allopathic killer drugs like
AZT and without their side effects. Similarly, a diet consisting
of carrot juice, sweet lime, orange juice, wheat grass, coconut
water, fresh buttermilk and curds would put them on their feet
by boosting their immune mechanism. Since Alternative Medicine
is proving popular, the medical mafia is going berserk and hence
the Confidential meetings like the Codex, etc.
I have been given 15 minutes to speak. Before I stop here
and take your pertinent questions, here is a meaningful joke :
One day, the brain said, I am the king. Heart replied, how so,
when I pump you the blood. Lungs reminded the heart that without
oxygen, life comes to a standstill. Liver bragged that it was
the greatest filtering organ in the body. Kidneys reminded
that they removed the toxins from the blood and threw it out as
urine or perspiration. Finally, the 'shit hole' said that
he was the ultimate ruler.
All the organs mocked at it. Poor shit hole felt insulted.
He said that from Mahatma Gandhi he had learnt non-cooperation.
He refused to open for 5 days, 10 days, 15 days, 20 days --- finally,
eyes came popping out, stomach bloated, head whirled, heart pumped
furiously and there was great chaos in the body. Finally,
all the organs accepted the supremacy of the shit hole and requested
it to open. It opened and all the blocked material was expelled
and what a great relief there was.
The moral of the story - in the body all the organs work in unison.
Hence, our treatment is called the Holistic Medicine. Whereas,
the so-called super specialists or experts look at one organ at
a time. There is a brain specialist who knows precious little
about Heart. The Lung specialist looks only at Lungs, the Heart
specialist does not know the rhythm of his heart, and dies earlier
than the heart patient! The skin specialists, the bone specialist,
the kidney specialist, and so on and so forth. Beware of
them and their brand medicine and machinations.

"Human Rights & Health Freedom of Health Choice"
Lord Philip Hunt, Health Minister, has purchased a new double bed upon which to recline with the pharmaceutical industry, similar to the collaboration of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Pharma Cartel in the U.S.A.
Lord Hunt has established a research and development agreement between the Department of Health and the pharmaceutical industry, as announced on 25/03/02. The work will be funded equally between the Department of Health and the pharmaceutical industry.
In clear preferential support for Allopathic Medicine and the pharmaceutical industry, to the detriment of the Alternative Medical area, Lord Hunt has been pushing forward the consultation process on the Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products proposed directive to the EU. Consultations ended on 31st July 2002.
If the EU passes the feared restrictions of this imposed Directive it will irreversibly damage the whole Alternative Medical sector in the UK. Other EU countries will equally be affected.
The Pharma Cartel, instigators of Codex Alimentarius, (to restrict the availability of nutritional supplements and the scope of Alternative Medicine worldwide), have been pressurising the EU to accept these draconian rules. This has been done under the guise of the World Health Organisation (WHO), United Nations (UN) and the General Agreement on Trade (GATT).
Their aim is to maintain their stranglehold over the global
healthcare field. The facts speak for themselves. It is entirely
to do with the power and influence of money. Truly, nothing else!
For example: In 1990 prescription drug sales reached $37.7 billion.
Eleven years later in 2001 the total global sales of pharmaceutical
prescription drugs grew to $392 billion.
When measured by returns on equity, sales and assets, Fortune
magazine ranked pharmaceuticals the most profitable of all industries!
The Pharma Cartel, (the conglomerate of the major pharmaceutical manufacturers), planned their global strategy of dominance and destruction of the Alternative Medical area many decades ago. Piece by piece they have been chipping away at the block, like a water-drip torture.
Most people give way under such long-term pressure. We cannot and must not let this happen. If we value our Human Rights for Health Freedom of Choice we ought to make our protests known.
Peoples' understanding and concern of the great need for nutritional supplements have never been greater, especially as there is increasing concern over the devitalisation of natural foods as a direct consequence of agrochemical farming methods. (The nutritional content of fruits and vegetables is diminishing year upon year. Some foods have lost 60% of the basic vitamins they are known for. And some have lost all - 100%!
A groundswell of concern is developing within the U.K. at the EU proposals. Thousands of people have signed petitions and written to their local MP or MEP against the EU's proposals. This should continue.
Many major celebrities are known to be opposed to the proposed Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products directive by the EU, including: Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Cliff Richard, Phil Collins, Zoe Ball and Jools Holland. There are hundreds more. Add your protest to theirs!
